MISSING! Donnie Smith, 79-year-old white male, described with white hair and balding, andhas a limp, due to a prosthetic leg.
Mr. Smith was currently living at his second residence in Laramie, Wyoming when he went missing, we believe, Friday, according to family.
Original reports indicated a neighbor saw him on Wednesday, but tidbits of information have come together, indicating he may have been seen Friday.
He apparently left his second home there in Laramie with just his keys.
We had a chance to talk to his son-in-law, Wade Reher, who filed the original report, and has been leading the effort online, and with local law enforcement to try to locate his father-in-law.

The weekend started off with the Food Truck Festival out at Oregon Trail Park. Several popular food trucks were set up there, and Greg and Stacey Schanaman donated half of all their sales and 100% of all their tips from their Dairy King food truck to the Jackson family.
And don't forget the State Patrol fundraiser, August 31st, drive-through benefit BBQ at the Nebraska State Patrol headquarters.
And speaking of the State Patrol, let's take a look at some police action from the weekend. First of all, the cows were out on I-80, evidently they're traveling east now, but that caused quite a bit of chaos and several calls to the Kimball County Sheriff.
And a quick reminder about the supermoons that you'll be seeing in the night sky starting tonight, look for the infamous Blue Moon.
And we had some horses out on County Road 32 and County Road W, and the Nebraska State Patrol was also busy rounding up stolen vehicles. On Friday, scanner traffic indicated a gray 2016 BMW confirmed stolen and spotted on I-80. Then on Sunday, scanner traffic indicated that they had just recovered a stolen Penske truck.
And also on Sunday, we had some hay bales on fire, County Road R and County Road 33.
Meanwhile, in the southeastern part of the Panhandle, scanner traffic indicated a physical altercation going on in Chappell that involved weapons in the house. Deputies confirmed no access to the weapons, cleared the scene, and they transported one male, 10-15, or arrested to Cheyenne County Jail.

Let's take a look at what's happening around the Panhandle for Friday, August 16, 2024.
A positive follow-up on that medical emergency that we had on Highway 26 on Wednesday, Family reported in, they did ask for privacy and respect, but did want to report that the little boywas able to go home. Still need some improvement though.
A reminder about our kiddos getting back to school and the road construction around the different towns in the valley, including a alliance with the road closure on West 10thStreet between Ramblin and Highway 385.
And in Goshen County area man is wanted, Andrew Atkinson is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, one count of strangling a household member and a fourth count of child abuse,each punishable up to 10 years in prison and $10,000 in fines. Goshen County authorities are looking for the 26-year-old man accused of disfiguring his girlfriend by pistol whipping her and kicking her and pushing her and her child tothe ground, amongst other things.
The community has responded in a big way after the Jackson family lost their teen son JT, a recent graduate of gearing high school in a tragic motor vehicle crash.At least two events have been set up so far with more coming in. August 31, drive-through benefit BBQ at the Nebraska State Patrol headquarters, and Greg and Stacey Shane, a man of Dairy King, posted another fundraiser for the Fast FoodTruck Festival at the Western Nebraska Pioneers Ballpark. That is scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, August 17, 4-9pm at the Oregon Trail Park Stadium.
