While the weekend was filled with slide-offs from the slightly inclement weather, Kimball County Sheriff's Office reported at least two semi-slide-offs from the interstate, as well as scanner traffic indicating multiple troopers assisting drivers on other highways in Nebraska. You can expect much better weather this week with today, tomorrow and Thursday's highs being in the 70s.

Sheriff's offices across the state of Nebraska are receiving reports of scam text messages claiming to be from the DMV regarding unpaid fees, violations or license issues. These messages are fake and a scam. Please avoid them. DMV does not send text messages demanding payment. Don't click the link. Delete the message and report it.
Last night's scanner traffic indicated a juvenile involved in a rollover accident with a four-wheeler. Originally thought to be a younger individual, it was actually a 22-year-old male who was transported to regional west under the partial trauma team designation. The accident happened just after 6 p.m., about 10 miles outside of Broadwater.
